Hottest June Ever Recorded, European Satellite Data

Then of course the fancy pants satellites circling around the globe collects all sorts of measurements such as temperature and concentration of greenhouse gases and whatnot lickety split. That’s the number Brain presented in his post.

It’s like John Henry versus the steam drill.

However, both methods of data collection are essential. You always have to ground truth remote (via satellite in this case) measurements.

As a comment section citizen scientist I added immeasurable value by hand scribbling another bar for June 2019, the arrow and notation in fuchsia. I’m being silly here. I may have subtracted value.

Climate science is purely something I’m officially just an enthusiast, i.e. it’s completely outside my wheelhouse. However, climate science is essential to human survival. So we all should do our best to get up to speed on the subject.

It makes me sad that the longer we footle about on this, the more extreme measure will be needed to reverse it.

  • I’ve heard a proposal to ban most highly-processed foods.
  • Mass reforestation projects
  • Huge tax increases to pay for infrastructure protection
  • Mega-cofferdams/lochs/seawalls
  • Mandatory recycling followed by fines for noncompliance/limits on trash
  • Complete elimination of single-use plastics
  • Phasing out older cars (with “older” getting newer ever year until 2005)
  • Tripling vehicle registration/licensing fees
  • VAT on top of Sales tax

and these are just the start! the dithering is going to come back and kick us in the nuts. I figure a Cat 5 hurricane hitting DC will likely get shit rolling, no?
