Because I was guilty of doing this yesterday, I felt like Thando was pulling me, but let’s focus on the music. Her first release since her SAMA-nominated debut EP, ‘A Force To Be Reckoned With,’ will be ‘Drunk Dialing.’ Thando is a fantastic singer, but her songwriting truly amazed me. She used brilliant wordplay to build a picture of her current circumstances, such as when she said, “Where did the promises go? Keep an eye out for your pinky “.. Thando delivered incredibly catchy flows while still producing a fantastic vocal performance, giving the song just the proper amount of passion without being overtly emotional or formulaic. I’m looking forward to hearing Thando’s next EP.
