City Power Electrical Services Application: What Exactly Is City Power Electrical Services Application?

We want to get property owners the services they need in as little time as possible. The information and paperwork needed to submit an application for electrical services are provided in the materials on this section to help with this.

1. Submit an application to change a SPU’s billing from postpaid to pre-paid.
2. Open a new prepaid or postpaid SPU account ( this guide also covers application for alterations to a small power user connection)
3. Request a new LPU connection (the guidance also covers requests for large-scale changes).

What is the procedure for applying?

The application form that must be presented when making an application can also be found in the table below with the downloading papers.

Customer Services can receive the fully filled and signed application form, as well as the supporting documents listed in the guideline, through email (in PDF format). If the supporting documents are not submitted, the application will be delayed in processing. Please send an email to the email address for the Region in which the property requesting assistance is located.

Note

1. The applicant submits an application to City Power for the provision of energy for the purposes listed above, and agrees to pay the rates set by City Power.
2. The applicant also agrees to pay the charges set forth for such rates in City Power’s electrical tariff structure, which is updated on a yearly basis.
3. In the case that no electricity is utilized or is consumed for less than the monthly minimum fixed charges set forth in the City Power tariff structure, the applicant shall be responsible for the monthly minimum fixed charges set forth in the City Power tariff structure.
4. In the event that more than one applicant submits an application, each applicant agrees to be held jointly and individually liable.

5. In cases where supply is not required, the applicant or a representative of the applicant should notify the CoJ regional customer service office in writing of the disconnection of services.
6. City Power rules, as amended from time to time, control the delivery of electricity requested.
7. Meter readings will be performed on predetermined dates on a monthly basis.
