His popular tune “Emcimbini,” created by Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa, is his most well-known work. Aymos was born in the Johannesburg suburb of Tembisa. He began by singing in church and later founded his own choir in high school. Shonamalanga, a joint album with Mas Musiq, was released in 2020. The CD was nominated for best amapiano album and best duo/group of the year at the 27th South African Music Awards. His debut album, Yimi Lo, was released in September 2021.
