THE YEAR 2010 will stay with Khuzani “Indlamlenze” Mpungose for a long time.
That was the year Khuzani (30), from Emandaba in Nkandla, KZN, revolutionized the music industry.

“That’s when my musical career took off,” he explained.
Khuzani grew up idolizing maskandi titans like Mgqumeni “Ibhova Likadikadika” Khumalo and his adversary, Mtshengiseni “Indidane” Ngcwensa.

His tragic death occurred as he was aiding with the completion of Khuzani’s transfer to Izingane Zoma Music Promotions, led by pioneer and leader Shobeni Khuzwayo.
Following Mgqumeni’s death, Khuzwayo chose Khuzani to complete the missing collection because of his “spotless voice,” which he compared to that of his adored picture.
The collection was awarded a Satma grant. The next year, Khuzani released his presentation collection, Bahluleke Bonke. It was to be the first of nine compilations he planned to release over the next nine years.
At the Amatshontsho ka Maskandi Awards, Satmas, Samas, and Life Changers Awards, his collections have won several awards, including melody of the year and smash hit collection.
As a result of this accomplishment, his troops of loyal allies dubbed him King Khuba. He made an impression on the world last year when he played to a sold-out maskandi event at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium.
“Petition, difficult work, and assurance work are all for me,” he explained. He stated that people should not forget their roots. “I come from a rural area where life is harsh, but I never became arrogant.”
