How Do I Get In?

To enter the competition, you must complete the following steps:

• Listen to 947 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; AND
• If you want to win an additional R2?500, you must have an active Standard Bank account and email us your prediction of which iconic landmark will be light up,
• 947 and include the hashtag #HowAboutNow
•  If you want to win an additional R2?500, you must have an active Standard Bank account. Standard Bank will verify this with your legitimate South African ID number.
• You may enter the Competition as many times as you like; however, you will not be eligible to win a prize more than once. You will be automatically accepted into the Competition if you meet the standards set out in clause 2 above and this clause 3.

Prizes

• A cash award of R2?500 for each of the ten winners, plus an additional R2?500 as specified in article 3.1.4.
• To be eligible for the grand prize of R50 000, listeners must share their predictions for which iconic landmark will be illuminated (as per the entry requirement of this competition.)
• They must do so by using the hashtag #HowAboutNow and tagging the station’s social media account when publishing their guesses on Twitter or Facebook.
• Regardless of whether their prediction is correct or incorrect, all entries that meet the above conditions will be eligible to win the big prize of R50 000.
• * A random winner will be picked for the main prize, and the winner will be informed.
• If we are unable to contact the winner after a reasonable number of attempts, we shall redraw a winner at random, and the winner who we were unable to contact will no longer be eligible for the grand prize of R50,000 or any other reward or compensation. They will be unable to claim the award.
• The Prizes are the Cash Prize and the Additional Prize taken together.

Terms & Conditions

• If the winner chosen does not comply, their entry will be disqualified, and a new winner will be drawn.
•  In the event that a winner cannot be successfully contacted, is ineligible to accept the prize, or contravenes the terms and conditions of this competition or of 702, 947, CapeTalk and/or 947, the prize will be forfeit.
• 947 and Standard Bank reserve the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice.
• Any changes to the competition will be notified to participants as soon as possible by the promoter.
• Employees of Standard Bank , Primedia Broadcasting and their immediate family and friends are not permitted to enter the competition.
• If a Prize winner does not meet these requirements, the Prize will be regarded as forfeited and we reserve the right to draw an alternate Prize winner.
• The prize money/prizes will be distributed as soon as the winners’ required details are received and to be processed within 21 working days from completion of the competition.
• 947 and Standard Bank will not be held responsible for any charges or costs incurred while participating in this competition.
• 947 and Standard Bank will not be held liable for entries not received for any reason whatsoever and will not be responsible for network connectivity or hardware issues experienced while participating.
• There will be 10 (winners) winners in total.
